The VDAV industry conference took place from 31 May to 2 June 2016 at the capital’s Maritim Hotel, bringing together representatives from the information and directory media industry. As is the case every year, Mohn Media also took part. The VDAV is open to all market participants and is made up of around 150 media companies, which publish over 2,000 different products, comprising all kinds of media. The event attracted around 450 managers from the VDAV member companies, plus numerous guests. It was an opportunity for the sector’s key players to exchange ideas and experiences, find out about new developments during workshops and discuss success factors for their own business. Over 30 different talks, workshops and practical forums were organised to inform participants about important trends, developments and framework conditions in the areas of management, marketing and sales. The 2016 VDAV specialist fair was held in parallel to the conference. Here, service providers and suppliers to the directory media industry showcased their products and services. “For us, the conference is always an important forum for finding out about the current situation in the sector as a whole and, at the same time, promoting ourselves and our variety of solutions,” explained product line manager Heiner Kloster, who thought that the event in Berlin was definitely worth the trip.
